Then search for arlo secure by opening google play store/ app store.

Create Arlo Account

Once application downloading completes you have to create an account to perform arlo doorbell setup. Steps to follow to create account:

Open the app you have installed.
Thereafter, click on “create an account” option

Begin Arlo Doorbell Setup

In the arlo app, go to the device option given in the end of the app page.
Thereafter you should click on the plus sign given in the top right corner of the app page.
Next device list will open on the screen from where you should opt “Doorbells & Chimes” option
Afterwards you need to choose “Video Doorbell 2nd Generation” option and then take your arlo doorbell
Press the pair button given on the device and hold it for 3 seconds.
Release the button and check if the device LED starts flashing blue or not.
As it starts, select your home network with which you desire to connect the device.
Also provide the password of your home network and wait to be verified.

You can name your device and then choose the continue option.

Installation of Arlo Doorbell

Installation of the device is a simple yet important process. To complete the installation you need screw, screwdriver, drill machine and mount plate of doorbell. You can install your doorbell by following these steps:

Choose a placement for the doorbell. (preferably 4 feets above the ground).
Take the mount plate and mark the screw holes.
Use a drill to create holes and then mount the plate using screw & screw driver.
Then connect the arlo doorbell with the arlo doorbell mount plate.

Test Motion Detection

Once the Arlo Video Doorbell HD Setup & installation completes, you need to pursue a motion detection test. Steps to perform test are as under:

Open arlo secure app and then go to device
Go to the menu icon and then click on device setting
Thereafter choose Default Mode Settings and then Motion Detection Test.
Move in front of the doorbell, when the device detects motion during test LED turn ambered in color.
You can move the slider to adjust motion sensitivity level.

Chime Option For Arlo Video Doorbell HD Setup

Arlo doorbell setup offers several chime options. You can connect a chime device using wire or wirelessly. To hear chime sound you can connect an Arlo Chime 2, your home’s traditional chime, a smart home voice assistant system, and your mobile device.
